Guacamole Episodes 1-6
Writters/Directors/Producers: Michael Blieden & Matt Price

Blieden's notes:
Matt Price and I were in a Wahoo's in 2003 and we ran into a fellow showbusiness professional we were friendly with, and he asked us what we happened to be working on at moment. This was at a time when Matt and I were not working at all. What we did have right in front of us, however, was a massive plate of chips and guacamole. So I think I was the one who said "we're working on guacamole." Marcus then asked us, in all seriousness, what network this was for. We said it was for NBC.

When we first pitched this idea to Comedy Central in 2003 there were not a lot of talking inanimate objects on tv or on the web, but we were adamant that we could make this work. "Just imagine it, a talking tub of guacamole."

"So is it animated?" they asked.

"Nope. Live action."

"So does it move or have eyes or a mouth?"

"Nope. It's just shots of the tub."

I have to say we really pitched our hearts out and Jim Sharp at one point asked us if this was a practical joke, or a segment for a prank show. After the meeting we even sent a follow up gift basket with chips and salsa, and a letter from Guacamole himself saying "I hope we can work together soon."

It wasn't until Comedy Central began doing original programming for the web 2 years later that we got our chance to make some Guac.
